Fee Schedule & Payment Terms

Here are the details on fees and payment terms so we all know what to expect and what you are paying for. Everyone’s time has value, and mine is priced accordingly. This page covers what is included, what is not, and what happens if more time or documents are needed.

Flat Fee, Simple Process

All notary appointments - Mobile or Remote - are billed at a flat rate of $100 per booking. This fee includes:

  • A $50 nonrefundable booking fee paid at the time of scheduling.

  • Scheduling and prep

  • Travel within 10 miles of zip code 80007.

  • Tech platform access (for Remote Online Notarization).

  • Up to 30 minutes of appointment time and 3 documents.

Travel Area and Surcharge

My $100 flat fee includes travel within 10 miles (one-way) of zip code 80007. If you are farther than 10 miles away, a simple travel surcharge may apply:

  • $25 for 10–20 miles (one-way)

  • $50 for 20+ miles (one-way)

You’ll always be notified ahead of time — no surprises.

I do not calculate exact mileage; I use general travel time and effort to determine if a surcharge applies. Colorado is gorgeous, and spread out.

After Your Appointment

You will receive a final invoice via QuickBooks for the remaining balance after your appointment. Payment is due upon receipt.

Example: You pay a $50 nonrefundable booking fee when you book. After the appointment, you receive an invoice for the remaining $50.

What the Flat Fee Covers:

  • Up to 30 minutes of notary service.

  • Up to 3 documents.

  • Standard prep and document handling.

  • Travel within 10 miles (one-way) of ZIP code 80007.

Additional Fees (If Needed):

  • Extra time: $25 per 15 minutes

  • Additional documents: $10 each beyond the first 3

  • Travel surcharge: $25–$50 for locations beyond 10 miles (one-way)

How You’ll Pay

To keep things secure and simple, The West Notary Co. uses two trusted platforms for all payments:

Booking Fee:

$50 booking fee paid via Calendly, processed through Square (or Stripe).
You will see “SQUARE” or “The West Notary Co.” on your statement.

Final Invoice:

This will be delivered via QuickBooks Online, payable by:

  • Credit or debit card

  • ACH bank transfer

  • Apple Pay or Google Pay

Note: If you ever receive a payment request from another platform, ignore it and contact me directly.

Late Payments and No-Shows

Life happens, just communicate. That said:

  • $50 booking fees are nonrefundable

  • Invoices unpaid after 7 days may incur late fees and may trigger collection efforts.

  • No-shows will be billed the full flat fee
